The Rand Cricket Club was formed on the 12th of September 1925. The first meeting was held at the Rand Bake House. About 15 people were present, which included P.Duffy (as Chairman), Alf Townsend and Stan Hague Sr. who was elected Secretary/ Treasurer. It was decided that membership would be 10 schillings (½ pound) and that the club would join the Brocklesby & District Cricket Association (BDCA). The BDCA admitted the Rand C.C. at the AGM on the 17th of October 1925.

Prominent among the players were George Cooper, Stan Hague Sr., Joe Williams and early in the life of the club Aubrey May, a fast bowler with much experience.

A Grade Premierships were won in 1938-39 , 1951-52, 1973-74 and 8 in a row from 2012-13 to 2019-20. B Grade won in 1986-87, 2012-13 and 2015-16 and the Juniors won in 1998-99.

At one stage in the early 1950s Rand was playing in the BDCA on Saturdays & playing in the Coreen and District competition on Sundays. In the mid 1970s (1975-76 & 1976-77) Rand fielded 2 teams (Rand & Rand Colts – where they played each other) before there was Divisions 1 & 2 starting in 1977-78. The Juniors started playing in 1984-85 when the BDCA competition started. 2011-12 was the last season for 2 day matches.

The BDCA and Holbrook District Cricket Association merged for the 2018-19 season to become the CAW Hume competition.
